AT&T halts sales of Nokia Mural

Friday, September 11, 2009

Just earlier this month we notified you of the impending AT&T release for nokia phone & the Nokia Mural. Well, it seems that before the device even got a chance to take off, AT&T is halting all sales.

Unfortunately, this delay is until further notice (which could mean forever) due to the production model of the device unable to work over AT&T’s 3G network. As for the stock that’s already out there, BGR reports that retailers have been ordered to send the phone back to headquarters for a software update.

Those of you discouraged about this news need not be as there are countless 3G clamshell alternatives out there.

Mobile Receipt App is Tops at the App Store

So much for games and utilities, iPhones can be great aids as well when it comes to monitoring and systemizing your finances. Businessmen or employees who are required to submit expense reports normally have to fix up their receipts and make sure that they are itemized and ready for reimbursement. The Mobile Receipt app from Mitek Systems does just that and is perhaps one reason why it jumped all the way to number one at the App Store.

And while many deny it, one common practice is forging some receipts to so that they can reimburse a higher amount that what they had actually spent. Some get away with it while others get caught. Between the two, you would not want to be caught cheating your way for some extra cash.

But for Hot Urls the people who want an easy way to create and expense report , the Mobile Receipt app is the app for you. No wonder it made its way to the top! The app is available at the App Store for $4.99. You can view a video demo here. http://www.miteksystems.com/OOMPH_webisodes.asp

A number of laptops that have been appearing in the market in the last few months have included Bluetooth by default. To take advantage of this fact, and to make your life just a little bit wire-free, Microsoft recently unveiled the Bluetooth Mobile Keyboard 6000. Featuring the company’s Comfort Curve layout, the number pad is split from the main keyboard making it easy to carry just the keyboard along with you when you travel, for example.

Slated for an October 2009 release, the Bluetooth Mobile keyboard 6000 and Number Pad will retail for US $89.95 and $44.95 respectively, and come with a worldwide 3-year limited warranty. A Bluetooth transceiver is not included as far as we know, because, well, one of the requirements is that your laptop should already have integrated Bluetooth. Two AAA batteries for the keyboard and one AAA battery for the number pad are included.
